I did not take these pictures, but they are some amazing shots.
This is the Old Highway 40 over Donner Summit near Truckee California,
between Sacramento and Reno. A few cars still travel over it every day.
A bear was walking across the bridge when two cars, crossing it
at the same time scared him ....and he jumped over the edge.
Some how he managed to grab onto the ledge
and was able to pull himself to safety.
The authorities decided that nothing could be done that night so they
returned the next morning, to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge.
After securing the orange net under the bridge…..the bear was tranquilized
and fell into the net. He was then lowered to the ground.
When the bear woke up he just walked out of the net and back into the forest. . . . . . !
